This past weekend, PATTERN teamed up with Brooklyn art platform MARTK’D and The City League to host an Art on Sneaker competition during the city’s premier adult basketball tournament, and it was hot—literally. However, sky-high August temperatures were nothing compared to the heat participating artists brought to each competition. Both high school students and adults competed in separate leagues this year, and the results were phenomenal. Huge congrats to Sophia Finney, the winner of our youth competition, and Ekta Pandey, our adult winner!
PATTERN would like to thank everyone who played a part in making the Art on Sneaker Tournament a success, including our talented participants, DJ SirLimitless, emcee, and pop-up vendors. Of course, we can’t forget our wonderful sponsors GANGGANG, Arts Council of Indianapolis, and The Basement.
