Name: Viviana Uribe

Age: Twenty-four

Agency: 10 MGMT

How and when did you start modeling?
I’ve been acting since I was pretty young and I kind of fell into it, although I never really thought of myself as a model. I would say it became official when I signed with 10 MGMT last October. I’ve loved every second of it! Usually you think of the modeling industry as very intimidating, but everyone’s been so kind and fun to work with so far!

What’s the most surprising thing you have discovered about modeling?
That your relationship with the camera is something you have to nurture. Even the most natural beauty has to build that trust. Modeling is an art form like any other, and it takes a certain vulnerability between the camera, the model and the photographer. It’s a team effort that involves a bit of spontaneity while still maintaining a craft.

What’s your favorite way to get model ready?
I like to set intentions for my day. I try to find some time to either journal or break out a sweat that morning–something that will clear my head and give me a soft focus for a shoot. Oh and some pump up music to get ready to. Probably Nicki Minaj. Barbs rise.

Where do you see yourself in the future?
Wherever the universe takes me! I’d love continue building my modeling and acting career and being a part of projects that tell compelling stories through their vision. I get inspired by collaborating with artists, so I would love to eventually find myself behind the camera in the near future!
