Isaac “Ikey” Reeves Releases Reebok Sneakers

In late April, Isaac “Ikey” Reeves celebrated the release of his Reebok sneaker design. Reeves got the opportunity to design a shoe for Reebok in collaboration with Yellowbrick. Yellowbrick is an organization that works with universities, brands, and industry experts to give young professionals and creatives a chance to pursue their passion.

After a year of working on this project, the APB x Yellowbrick x Reebok Classic Leather Legacy “Duality” sneaker was released on April 29th. There were a limited 150 pairs available and they all sold out.

Reeves is from Indiana, but lived in New York for years. He says his time in New York is what inspired the “Duality” concept, and really wanted to create something that embodied living there. The shoes reflect the daytime and nighttime versions of life with bright and colorful contrast, as well as reflective and glow in the dark features.

Now that his work on the sneaker release is done, Reeves is inspired going into the future. He emphasizes that he is excited and happy to be living in Indiana again, as it gives him new perspectives and a chance to slow down and create.
