Indiana creatives, you’re in luck, especially if you’ve been dreaming of a lil’ extra cash in your pocket. Throughout July and August, there will be free and low-cost Next Steps Creative Business training opportunities available across the state to teach creatives how to start or expand their creative practices.
The Next Steps trainings are made possible by a partnership between the Indiana Arts Commission and the Indiana Small Business Development Center. These are meant to help small creative businesses become more economically resilient. You don’t need to have a small business to attend, though—all creatives looking to make money through their practice are invited.
Trainings are hosted across the state through IAC’s Regional Arts Partners, so take a peek at the list below to sign up. Nearly every training is free to attend, and though one requires a fee, there are scholarships available. Attending more than one training is permitted, so get out there and soak up that free knowledge! (We’d suggest signing up soon, though, as advanced registration is required and most trainings have caps on attendance. Not to be pushy.)
