Circle City Street Style: Vol. 6

Name: Lindsey Springer-Nierman

Age: 28

Job: Pilates instructor at Circle City Pilates

Describe your style: Urban and Accessorized

How has your style evolved: A few years ago I used to dress really nerdy.  I realized  no one took me seriously.  I wanted to be treated like an adult so I made some  changes.

Style Icon: Nicole Ritchie.  She’s evolved and grown so much in the last ten years.  It’s  hard to believe it’s the same girl sometimes.

One fashion item you can’t live without: High Heels and stilettos.

One non-fashion item you can’t live without: Music!

Where can we find you hanging out: Mass Ave, I love the Ball & Biscuit and the Chatterbox.  They’re unique and unexpected.  It’s where I take my out of town visitors.

Favorite place to shop in town: Niche in Broad Ripple.  The owner is so hands on and really cares about her clients.   She’s very socially conscious and is aware of every product’s history that she puts into her boutique.

Why do you love Indy: In Indianapolis you have the ability to really make a difference.  You can dream an idea or project and actually do it, see it happen.

What’s your favorite Indianapolis home-grown project: Keep Indianapolis Beautiful.  I started volunteering, I walked in having no idea what I was doing or going in to, then fell in love.

How would you like to see Indianapolis grow: Better public transportation.  I’d like to see it actually make sense.

One piece of fashion advice for Indianapolis: Ladies, THROW OUT the denim skirts.

One more question, where are those awesome feather extensions from: Todd Shrider did them at DL Salon.
