Name: Kate Amberger

Occupation: Student/Assistant Artist at a pottery studio

How do you plan on saving the world: Starting a Not for Profit focusing  on literacy

How did you end up in Indianapolis: By way of Seattle, Portland and L.A.  I moved here to get closer to my extended family.

Describe yourself in a few words: Classic & Quirky

Style Icon: Doris Day in “Pillow Talk” and Kate Middleton

Favorite Store: For me? Anthropologie.  For my home? Pottery Barn.

Where can we find you in Indianapolis: Mass Ave or Geist

Favorite thing to wear: Bright Colors, they are uplifting.  This jacket was bought for a trip to Ireland and now trenches are the must have for spring.

What’s in your makeup bag: Coral cheeks, pink lips, nude nail polish

One thing you can’t live without: My Macbook.

Guilty Pleasure: I can’t get enough of YoguLatte.

Favorite tune to listen to in the morning: Anything by John Legend.

What would you say is the worst trend of the last 10 years: Denim on denim.  Serious.

How would you describe Indianapolis fashion: All over the place.  You really can’t define it or categorize any one style on the locals.  It can be fun to see how different people choose to express themselves yet all patronize the same area.

What is one piece of fashion advice for Indianapolis: Buy a cute winter coat.  Just because it’s cold outside and it’s a layering, functional piece doesn’t mean you need to sacrifice style.
