REV 2019 Street Style

2019 REV was a chilly affair, but on the upside, Mother Nature decided to spare us the rain, so all in all, it was a great evening, weather-wise! In terms of the set up, this was my favorite REV by far. I liked the placement of the red carpet and the addition of cocktail tables inside the food pavilions made me very happy – nothing worse that trying to balance a drink, a plate of food, napkins, and a camera while trying to fork morsels of food into one’s mouth, WHILE being jostled by all the other guests.

As always, there was a mass of people in attendance, starting with a trickle of VIPs at 5:30p and followed by a deluge of people for general admission at 7:30p. I saw a lot of drivers, a handful of my favorite DJs, and had a very welcome bump into Mayor Ballard and his wife, Winnie. Of course, there were many other happy social collisions – too many to document.

Because it was quite chilly, we did not see a lot of bare arms and shoulders, and the pantsuit made many an appearance. Black and white, but mostly just black was the fashion mainstay, but we also spotted a lot of red which was a great color to be wearing on an overcast day. Overall I felt like many people pulled out the same thing they wore last year, or year’s past, especially the men. We tried to capture a sampling of the looks, specifically focusing on those with more color or fun accessories. Enjoy!
