Creative careers 201.

Want to launch a creative career? Start with a 12-month Fellowship.

Pattern earns revenue by leveraging our legendary creativity into paid gigs in design, marketing, publishing, and more. Each client project also serves as real-world experience—and paychecks—for newly-graduated Fellows.

Fellows work alongside core staff and some even take the lead. Everything from managing client timelines and conducting magazine interviews to pitching projects and meeting with stakeholders. Sure, it’s a lot of responsibility. With mentorship and support, Pattern Fellows handle it beautifully.

Jacob Chaves

Chaves, a former Pattern intern, credits the variety of projects and tasks given to him as a graphic design fellow with helping him exercise his creativity, noting that “with the fellowship, you get more hands-on experience.” Chaves also noticed significant improvement in his design abilities, thanks to the collaborative environment at Pattern. “I think that feedback and critique are essential for artwork,” he says. “Being able to see everyone else’s workshops inspires you.”
