High fashion jewelry line Phillips House makes Indiana debut

Phillips House, a fine jewelry brand with a high-fashion aesthetic, made its Indiana debut at Moyer Fine Jewelers in Carmel last week.  Known for its playful stones in covetable colors, Phillips House has brought the unusual gemstone combinations in its Spring 2013 Lenox line (think mint jasper and black diamonds, labradorite and blue sapphires) to the Indianapolis area.

Mother-daughter duo Lisa and Danielle Frankel created their first Phillips House collection in 2010. The equally edgy and elegant pieces quickly garnered nationwide attention, securing the cover of Women’s Wear Daily the same month the brand launched. Zooey Deschanel, Lauren Conrad, and Kerry Washington are all fans of the line.  Michelle Obama wore a pair of amazonite and ruby earrings from the Lenox line to Buckingham Palace.

Phillips House has embraced a modern endorsement strategy. Despite a heavy celebrity following, Phillips House’s Director of Sales and Marketing and Danielle’s husband Alex Nemiroff has noticed a shift from celebrity to blogger influence.

“Danielle keeps telling me ‘it’s bloggers now that we need to focus on, trust me!’” he says. “As a brand, we’ve really started to recognize the power of bloggers.”

It is not hard to see why fashion bloggers like Kelly Framel of The Glamourai are going gaga over Phillips House’s pieces.

While the brand is in the fine jewelry business, the line is still innovative and fashion forward.

Offering everything from delicate gold and diamond bangle bracelets to oversized natural cut gemstone rings, Phillips House caters to a wide range of clients.

“We’re targeting both young contemporary women with a taste for high fashion and older women who are looking for what’s new and what’s next,” Nimiroff said.
