Cahmelan Porter

Cahmelan Porter is a multidisciplinary creative and entrepreneur recognized for his ability to merge strategy, culture, and storytelling into powerful brand experiences. As the Founder and Owner of Komäfi, he leads a creative practice focused on building brands and campaigns that connect deeply with audiences through authenticity and purpose. His work reflects a balance of artistry and insight, informed by nearly a decade of experience guiding marketing and branding initiatives for organizations and cultural movements. Cahmelan is also the Co-Founder of Cargo Streetwear Boutique, an independent retail and creative hub in Indianapolis that celebrates emerging designers, local artistry, and the intersection of streetwear and culture. Through Cargo, he has helped cultivate a platform that uplifts creative entrepreneurship and fosters community connection.

In his role as Director of Marketing & Brand Strategy at Downtown Indy Inc, Cahmelan leads a team driving citywide campaigns and storytelling that shape public perception of Downtown Indianapolis. His leadership has supported rebrands, major events, and community initiatives that blend creativity with civic impact. A graduate of Wabash College with a degree in Rhetoric and a minor in Economics, Cahmelan’s work has earned multiple AAF ADDY Awards, including Best in Show and Gold honors. Passionate about culture, design, and progress, he continues to use creativity as a tool to build community, elevate brands, and move culture forward.
