Darren Hartley

Darren is a digital marketing specialist, blogger, journalist and music and movie enthusiast. Growing up in Queens, NY in the 80s and being a typical comic book geek, he aspired to be a Black Clark Kent. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Journalism/Creative Writing from Baruch College. He parlayed a summer internship at Billboard Magazine into an editorial assistant position with a penchant for covering developing new artists and retail. He moved to Indianapolis in 2002 and now lives in Carmel. He aspires to one day write that all-American novel since the whole Superman thing didn’t pan out. Likes: Sports, music, graphic design, funny videos of cats, Seinfeld, camping, gardening (don’t judge me) bacon, sleeping and making people laugh. Dislikes: roundabouts, stubbing the same toe, his hairline, hearing about today’s specials, and his insane loyalty to the New York Jets.
