An Exclusive Sneak Peek at IIDA’s Avant Garb Fashion Show

Everyone knows that, in its prime, the best Project Runway challenges asked participating designers to make unconventional materials into beautiful wearable ensembles. In that same vein, the Indiana chapter of the International Interior Design Association (IIDA) has paired teams of interior designers with manufacturers of design products to turn the nontraditional into one-of-a-kind, wearable stunners. The results of these designer-manufacturer collaborations will debut during a special fashion show at IIDAindiana’s Avant Garb fundraiser. This year, teams were instructed to create a design according to the theme ‘Fashion Through the Ages.’

We sent photographer Gabrielle Cheikh to document a special work session with the team from Phanomen Design, who are using products from Interface Flooring to bring their unique vision to life.  Enjoy this special preview of Friday’s event!
